Installing the desktop agent
For Lotus to operate on your computer, you need to download, install and login to the Lotus Desktop Agent. You can learn more about what the Desktop Agent does here.
Downloading
To download the agent, go to https://lotusai.co/agent-download/ and click on Windows. This will download the latest version of the Agent.
Installing
By running the downloaded install file, you will go through the standard install process on your computer. Once installed, the program will be on your desktop and should appear in your task tray in the bottom right (you might need to click the arrow to see all the icons).
If your organisation doesn’t allow you to install applications, you can send the download link above to IT and they can organise for it to be installed on your device.
Logging in
When you open the Agent for the first time, it’ll need you to login. If you haven’t already set your password, go to https://portal.lotusai.co/forgot-password and enter your email, then follow the steps to set (or reset) your password.
Once logged in, the Agent will say ‘Hello, (your name)’ which shows you’re logged in.
Once logged in, you can close the Agent and it will run in the background. It will also remember you’re logged in if you restart or shutdown your computer.
